Lingerie Shopping

Just a general observation really…
We’re coming into Spring – the High Street has started selling strappy tops, shorts, mini skirts and bikinis – yet it seems the lingerie vendors haven’t launched their new collections – or if they have – they have been particularly unremarkable.

Visiting one store last week to search for a cream underwear set (warmer weather is appearing, so out go the black suits), I was surprised to see that there’s a distinct lack of lingerie sets (bra, knickers, suspender belt, basque, camisole, etc.).
Why not? What’s happening with lingerie at M & S?

Onto other ‘favourite’ stores only to find the same story… Is this a general trend? Are we in a lingerie rut? Are people no longer buying sets? And, what is it with those horrible strings that look appalling under anything remotely close-fitting?

Are we becoming a nation of non-matching lingerie…? I hope not!
